At Pakenham Hills Primary School, we provide a supportive, engaging environment that encourages each student’s growth, creativity, and wellbeing. Our facilities are designed to enhance learning, promote physical activity, and inspire inclusivity.
We are a “Calmer Classrooms” school, embracing an approach to student wellbeing and management that utilises positive psychology to foster a sense of belonging and inclusion within our school community. Our staff is a cooperative, innovative, enthusiastic, and caring team dedicated to helping every child reach their full potential.

- Classroom Spaces: Our classrooms are designed to support diverse learning activities. Each classroom is equipped with laptops to enhance digital learning, and Prep classrooms are additionally outfitted with iPads for interactive learning experiences.
- Library: Our well-stocked library offers a quiet space for reading and study. Students have access to a wide selection of books and study areas to foster a love for reading.
- Art and Music Rooms: Creativity is encouraged in our dedicated art and music rooms, where students can explore visual arts, play instruments, and develop skills in drama and performance.
- Auslan Room: Our Auslan room is dedicated to the teaching and practice of Australian Sign Language, promoting inclusivity and communication skills. Students have the opportunity to learn and practice Auslan, supporting a more inclusive school community.
- Sports Facilities: Physical activity is an essential part of life at PHPS. Our sports facilities include a large gymnasium, multi-purpose courts, and an oval where students can participate in a variety of sports and physical activities.
- IT Lab: Our IT lab is fully equipped with computers, interactive software, and digital learning tools. Here, students develop essential technology skills and digital literacy.
- Sensory Garden: Our sensory garden is a tranquil outdoor space designed to stimulate the senses. Featuring a variety of plants, textures, and sensory activities, it offers students a calming environment to explore and unwind.
- Playgrounds and Outdoor Spaces: Multiple playgrounds, landscaped areas, and seating offer students places to play, socialise, and recharge. These areas encourage both physical activity and imaginative play.
- Inclusion and Wellbeing Spaces: For students who may need a quiet area or additional support, our inclusion and wellbeing spaces offer a calm, welcoming environment. Staff are available to support individual needs, promoting wellbeing and inclusivity.
- Fully Equipped Kitchen Facilities: Our kitchen facilities offer a space where students can learn about cooking skills and food preparation.
